| Sound Techniques |
| We at Sound Techniques are very proud of our history and because of that we are very keen to document it as accurately as possible. Not only have we recorded some of the most influential bands of our time but, some of the world’s greatest bands have also recorded on our desks
Designed and built by Sound Techniques founder Geoff Frost, the A Range and the System 12 were a significant innovation in studio recording technology and studios including, Kingsway, De Lane Lea, Trident and Sunset Sound all purchased desks.
Over 35 years later very few of the desks are still in existence, we unearthed one last year in pieces down in Wiltshire and have brought it home. Restoration work on this desk is well under way and we hope that she will soon be back to her former glory!
We are currently in the process of putting together a full inventory of those who were recorded at Sound Techniques and on our desks regardless of which studio. We would be happy to hear stories from anyone who either recorded on Sound Techniques equipment or even visited our Chelsea based studios in the sixties so please feel free to drop us a line with your stories or pictures.also visit www.soundtechniquesdesks.co.uk for more information
